CHALLENGE:Taconic Sport & Racquet’s Camp TSR offers great programming in tennis, basketball, soccer, swimming and arts & crafts. Their goal is to double 2017 camp attendance this summer. Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson (GSHH) wanted to step up marketing for their three locations for summer camp.
SOLUTION:Winter is when parents are making decisions about summer camp. FDD designed two summer camp campaigns with different goals. Taconic Sport & Racquet’s Camp TSR primarily draws a group of kids near their Hopewell Junction location. Their goal for this summer is to double 2017 attendance. In order to do that, FDD designed a brochure to be mailed to families with children ages 5-14 with incomes over $70,000 and within a 10-mile radius. To support its impact, an oversized post card will be mailed to the same list of families, the look of the camp website was changed to match the brochure and visuals were created for Facebook and email blasts.
GSHH offers girls day camp and sleep-over camp options that encourage confidence, independence and sisterhood. A broad variety of activities like canoeing, STEM-focused options, arts & crafts, swimming, hiking, high ropes courses are offered at their three camp locations—Camp Addison Boyce in Tomkins Cove, NY; Rocky Brook Camp, Eastchester, NY and Rock Hill Resident Camp in Mahopac, NY. For the comprehensive 24-page brochure, FDD continued the playful design we developed for their newsletter featuring quirky doodles, candid photos and lots of color! A supporting post card was mailed out as a reminder.
